Review: Uniqlo U Long Sleeve Sweatshirt
I seem to find myself in Uniqlo buying basics more often than I care to admit. And when the Uniqlo U line is in store, I’m like a proverbial moth to a flame.
In need of a new sweatshirt, I picked up the Uniqlo U Sweatshirt in grey and thought I’d write a quick review.

The Look
Upon first glance, this looks like a regular crewneck sweatshirt with raglan sleeves, but the added sleeve gussets are a refreshing practical detail. They help slim down the usual boxy fit of the Uniqlo U line and small details on a basic sweatshirt are always welcome.
And although there’s a bit of room in the sleeves, the ribbed cuffs slim it down further.
The Feel
It’s soft and warm thanks to the French Terry material, it’s also comfortable thanks to its relaxed raglan sleeves. But this is everything a sweatshirt should be.
But my only complaint would be about the rib of the crewneck. After a few wash and wears it seemed to deform from being stretched slightly. This could be because of my large head, but I haven’t found this issue in my Everlane sweatshirt.
Is it Affordable?
Yeah, totally! On sale? Even better! But I probably wouldn’t buy it again due to the rib of the crewneck deforming. Which means this sweatshirt will probably be relegated to the gym or lounging around the house. Hopefully next seasons sweatshirt is better.
